Great article. I know that feeling all too well. I've felt it in almost every day job I've ever held.

Each job started out as a new adventure. It was exciting and challenging and I was filled with enthusiasm. Eventually, that would all be ground down and replaced by what I call BARF (bitterness, anger, resentment, and frustration).

I wonder sometimes if I'm too old to "retrain".

Oh, Rick, I too have felt the BARF-- every single time, I'd start out with, "Hey, this time it'll be great!" And then... well, you've already said it. There have been times when I've turned down non-writing jobs in industries which fascinate me because I'm terrified of ruining the interest with bad work associations.

I'm so glad you stopped by. You're always welcome here.

It's too bad there are no emoticons here. Mine would be a "jaw hits floor" emoticon.

That article is...wow. I have no words. That's what I strive toward...and always fail miserably at achieving. You're amazing.

*bows down*

Good post, but it ended kinda suddenly. Didn't RHT wind up winning a race or something?
