Ah, the double-edged sword of the editing process . . . on one hand, they absolutely murder your column; on the other, they prevent you from spelling it "Welcom."

Unless you're making an intentional statement on the fact that they cut your piece that deep. In which case, I get it.

I had a lot of trouble getting used to Mike, when Joel left. He didn't deadpan quite the way Joel did, in the theater. But he had a far better screen presence in the lobby scenes. Joel never seemed quite comfortable in the light. *shrug*

I caught the news of the MST3K.com launch via IMDB.com a day or two before your post that you'd interviewed Mike. I visited the site and immediately wished I hadn't. When your show revolves around puppets and a person who is rarely seen, everything revolves around their voices. You simply cannot change that part of the personality. As for the writing... well... no comment.
