A Nice, Round Number

After four years, this marks the one thousandth post on BlondeChampagne. What began in angst now continues in... further angst, and a handful of readers on BlogIt has become hundreds--thousands on some occasions-- all holding my hand as I fret over this John Mayer fellow.

My dear The Readers, I thank you. My two nephews who have arrived since then thank you, my new husband who has also arrived since then thanks you, and the seven year old who has now been picked to play kickball on your team--she thanks you, too.

Even though I'm married to her, I still wait with breathless anticipation every day to see what Mary Beth will post on here. I love you, my bride!

MB, you're part of my workday morning powering-up the brain routine. You, and the Panda Cam at the Smithsonian Zoo. But you're usually first!! {wink}

Thanks for a daily dose of hilarity/angst/spleen.

All the best to you.

3 years reading here... You're the first site I check in the mornings.

I got to break it to my freshman ed psych class yesterday that we never completely grow up- there's always a new issue to deal with. Life's grand!

I read an interview with Eddie Vedder and Bono who said that they thanked their families for messing them up and giving them plenty of material to write about. You have a great family, clearly, but angst provides such wonderful material... Celebrate with bubbly and support- and know that you ARE a writer!

Your angst is inspiring. As I sat in the ER with my father this morning, this very song was playing in the background, and in what could have been a fretful time, I found myself smiling over your blog from the day before. Keep up the good work.

I just wanted to clarify... I absolutley love your writing. I don't always agree with you on things like politics and religion, but that doesn't cloud my ability to recognize talent.
I have read your blog everyday for more than a year. Usually first thing when I get to work.
I understand that the things that inpspire us to write are usually the things that make us feel the most.
It took me a year to post a comment. Sorry it was negative. I didn't expect the comments from your other readers, but hey, you should feel good that they all came to your defense and continue to post happy thoughts in your direction.
I won't quit reading. I hope you find that the change that has caused you angst will also bring you the most joy you will ever know.

MB, congrats on the first 1K! I'm just sorry I missed the first 700 or so. =(
May the Lord grant you another 1,000 and beyond! (with occasional additions by JTP)

MB, This is only my second comment ever (my first was about the Virginia Tech students shopping at Target and it was anonymous), but I read your blog daily. Thanks for sharing such inspiring angst with all of us and "keeping it real".
When the world fails to make sense to me at times, I know I can always find clarity here.

I love how there are so many daily readers that have your blog listed on their morning to-do list. I think I might actually have to say that I read your blog before I check my email some mornings :-)

Keep up the great writing!

I'm a brand new reader but already I'm a YOOOGE fan. You always put a smile on my face or give me something to think about. Keep up the good work!!!

PS
As a Virginian, I'd like to welcome you to our state. Also it sounds like you live in NoVA (Northern Virginia or the Land of Townhouses), if y'all want to see the real Virginia, take a drive down 81 south through the Valley and check out the small towns through there.

Do you accept ideas for your entries or do you just kinda write as you go? Maybe you could add a suggestion box to your blog site. Just a thought. Congrats on 1k!
