Groom Photo Call

We all have pictures from our past that we hope will never see the light of day, where, of course, they are utterly wasted.

So Lois The Pending Mother-In-Law very kindly braved all kinds of boxes and albums in a concerted effort to assist me in utterly humiliating her firstborn at the reception. The groom was an adorable child, as we can see, and very frequently a naked one.

Pictures like this make me very grateful for photography, and sight, because without it we would never know of treasured memories which must be cast upon the masses for mocking.

Memories like this:
He made it to Crapping in the Woods Day at Boy Scout camp! Well done, Josh!

Or this:

Then again, I have little room to laugh, as he is marrying this person:

Owen Wilson.

Here's a bonus picture of Josh with his twin, Jeremiah, and the Official Baby Toy of the Reagan Administration. See if you can identify The Pilot. HINT: He is in a diaper.

So for all of the sweet things that Josh has done, and made some of us wonder, "Does he have a brother?", the difinitive answer is yes.

These pictures are aDorable! I'm married anyway, but I am glad that you have found your 'the Pilot', and I am so exicited for you to become Mrs.-the-Pilot!

I don't know when it will arrive, but your mother should be calling you anyday now. ;)

Oh, I'm so excited! And grateful! Thank you deeply in advance for whatever it is my mom will be calling me about :) I can't wait.

Owen Wilson? I love you!

I am Josh's cousin and I have to admit that it wasn't until Josh and Jeremiah started attending family functions without one another that I was finally able to tell them apart. We just don't see each other that often. Which is why I am so excited for your wedding.

Oh, and today is my 8th anniversary as a married woman. Can you tell me which twin is right between Damon and me in this picture?

Is it Jeremiah?

Awwwwwwwwww . . . :-) Gotta love the embarrassing pictures. And there are some fairly good ones out there, especially for those of us lucky enough to have been children of the 70's and 80's. Eek!

I on the other hand, can't wait until my children can be embarrassed by photos of their childhood, because in this age of digital photos, there are thousands more of them to choose from!

Oh, and which is which??? I can't tell!

Congrats Alicia on your anniversary! My 5th will be this Friday the 13th. How time flies!!

Awww, Josh is so cute when he eats wet cement! LOL

I think it's Jeremiah too, Alicia. Is Josh standing on the steps?

Man, I should make Josh wear a kilt. It'll be awesome with the tights.

I think your dress is very pretty, as are the flowers. Nice classy wedding :)

Everyone, I proclaim here and now that I don't know this woman! How in the world she coerced my mother to release these pictures is beyond me!

Oh well, I'm glad you like them, and it's okay, I still love you... the Owen Wilson bit made me laugh, which is why I'm marrying you, and yes, Jeremiah is between Alicia and Damon. I am off to the right.

Believe it or not Josh, there were some photos that Jeremiah and I did not let MB take. And then there are the boxes we didn't even look in yet. :)

Kilts Rock!!

MB, Do you remember nothing about the Irish Guard, there are NO tights under those kilts. They should wear knee socks with the cool knee sock holder upper things.
The cool sock holders have little taggy things on the side so you know which way they go on.

If you totally want to understand about kilts, I suggest you consult the novel Outlander (yes it is worth the 1,000 page read. In fact the whole series is worth the read. Jamie is worth every page.)

JTP--Kilts are very sexy, you should get one and make MB happy.

Although, Matt wore one for Carah and now they have a baby so maybe you should wait until AFTER the wedding. (HA)

I was reading this early this morning in my dorm room, and my roommate was sleeping. As soon as I read the Owen Wilson caption I laughed out loud. Luckily, she stayed asleep; and I got a good laugh to start my day! Thanks, MB!

All Belles are well aware of proper kilt protocol-- I was kidding.

Oh, and Josh is the baby on the left. Come on, I left a hint in the photo title and everything!

Anonymous said...

Yes, JTP has a brother. :) Two actually!

Okay, I did make that very cruel joke about you having a brother when I saw that picture of you in the soccer uniform, but seriously, were you like the world's biggest tomboy when you were a kid, or what?

P.S. Josh is on the left.

Oh, never mind, you spoiled it already. But I swear I noticed it before you told.

See, this is why you're so evil, Mike. I was Princess BarbiePink SparkleGlitter, but my mom wouldn't let me grow my hair out until I was older. Thanks loads for bringing it up, though. That's great.

Call me evil all you want, but I NEVER would have compared you to Owen Wilson.

So this means Josh is planning to wear a Kilt on the wedding?? No wonder you are planning to celebrate it on summer! ;-)

RPJ,
The Men's Wearhouse unfortunately doesn't offer kilts in their wedding packages. I would totally have gone for one if they did!

Unfortunately I won't be there to wear my dress blues...so sorry guys.
