Congrats on your success, MB - I am soooo happy for you :). You deserve it :). You look fab' in your outfit, btw :).

PS: Hey Anon, if you think there's a gap in the market for what you desire to read about, how about you put all your oh-so-obvious wit and talent to the test and write it yourself, hmmmm?

No, anon, I don't get you. I've never understood people who hide behind anonymity and attempt to create chaos in the works of others for their own personal enjoyment.

But hey, throw some more of that coward our way. I won't respond any more -- I will now go on as if your posts were invisible.

Hmm. I'd say you should to to Orlando, MB, but that'd be more of the sequel, Drink to the Hell that is I-4 on Rush Hour.

Go somewhere near Iowa City, IA (home of the U of I) and the drinks are on me.

yes, Iowa City!! I know quite a few who would show up to see you. And really, it's only about -22 today, the cold isn't too bad : )

really, though, you should consider it. There's a great bookstore who might bring you in...

Okay, everybody, calm down. Thanks for the good wishes :)

Hi MB, this is Cara from Family Stories. Your reading at SMC rocked and I am jazzed to read your book and pass it on to all my fellow SMC-ers! So nice to see a well deserved writer get published! I totally remembered the whole parasite scandal back in the day, as well as the fire in Holy Cross which I think coincided with little sibs weekend. Good times!

Anon: Seriously, Mike... Pull the trigger, buddy. Do us all a favor.

'Kay.

*BANG!*

Crap, I missed you. Come a little closer next time. And quit running like a coward.

I feel like I'm in a middle school bathroom reading the stuff on the walls. How old are you? Seriously. How old?

It seems that some of us out there have a liiiiitle too much time on our hands, and have been posting under aliases very similar to mine and JTP's. Please disregard.

The rest of you, carry on, and please don't feed the troll. Thanks for your defense and kind words.

All it takes is for one moron to ruin it for everyone.
Some people need a hobby.

And for the loyal traversers of this fair post, float your cursor over the name link to tell the real from the impersonator (target URL appears at bottom of browser, at least in IE it does).

jcat: And for the loyal traversers of this fair post, float your cursor over the name link to tell the real from the impersonator (target URL appears at bottom of browser, at least in IE it does).

Unfortunately, that can be counterfeited as well; see directly above.

Of course, a reaaalllyyy easy way to determine all these posts are fake is that none of the players in question — JTP, MB, myself — have posted any of this to our own blogs. Obviously, this is because Anon doesn't know our passwords and can't log in to the Blogspot service under our usernames. But with the "Other" feature in the comment section, he can put anybody's name and website URL in and voilá: identity theft for chumps.

If I'm a pathetic miserable excuse for a human being whose suicide would improve the world's fate, then anyone PRETENDING to be me would, by definition, be even more lame. Congrats, whoever you are: it's tough to out-lame me, but you've succeeded. You're now the World Champion of Lame Idiots. Now go barnacle yourself to somebody else's ass.

I have a troll on my blog (on a very old entry about the Dixie Chicks , of all things) as well so I can relate to the experience of dealing with one.

Of course, no one really reads my blog except said troll so I feel the need to feed it occasionally so I don't feel too invisible. LOL.

Sheesh...some people suffer from a serious case of cranial rectal inversion.

Hi Mary Beth,

I really wanted to come to your reading the other day, but I had a faculty meeting at the same time. BUT, I read your chapter on your Women's Choir experience to the Choir that evening at rehearsal...it's all so true...and FUNNY! Thanks for including us. I look forward to reading the rest! I miss Big Blue too...
