Boomerang Birthday Karma

I KNEW I unclenched too soon.

Having taken a week to congratulate itself on conjuring pending homelessness for its thirtieth incarnation, Birthday Karma wound and pitched again. At forty miles an hour.

This time, I actually managed to be a horrible driver while sitting perfectly still. I was at a red light in rush hour traffic when I dimly realized that SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE isn't exactly the best noise to hear coming up behind a person, and suddenly the Pending Bridemobile shuddered and lurched forward into the car ahead.

Guy behind me gets out of the car: "Are you okay? Sorry about that! Totally my fault!" No no! My bad for... just... sitting there at the red light, in your way.

The House of Champagne now sports a slightly sprained wrist and a banged-up bumper. It is official, then: The Birthday Karma has kicked my

Oh, MB. I'm so sorry. Traffic accidents stink. But I'm glad you're okay...

I'm glad you are ok. I've never heard of birthday karma as bad a yours. As Charlie Brown says "Good Grief!". Here's hoping you have a better weekend.

I hope the other driver had insurance. That's my specialty, getting run into by non-insured drivers.

I hope things work out ok.

I work at a bodyshop. I'll see if I can fly down and take a look at it for you. OK, I only do the paperwork, but at least I might see the sun if I come visit! It could be good for someone!

Ok, everyone now...How do I trick my boss into buying into this?

Cold and cloudy here in the great state of the Wolverines ;)

OMG! I'm glad you’re not seriously injured. Those red lights can be tricky.

BTW, I watched the video of you turning 30. You really look great. I was looking for wrinkles and found none! I hope you feel better.

Glad to hear you're okay! Hey, you needed a new bumper anyway, right? :>)

I'm sorry for the blondemovile and all, but I'm really happy nothing bad happened to YOU. Nevertheless I would advise you to be checked by a doctor, make sure there was no injury to the neck vertebrae.

Glad you're ok.
That's the sucky thing about insurance. Even if the accident was completely not your fault in any way, shape, or form, your insurance will still go up. I've yet to figure out that logic.

Thanks for some good wishes, everyone. A little scraped paint, that's all.

The car's okay too.

Have you ever heard this phrase, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"

???

Oh and I totally second the recommendation about getting your neck/spine checked out.
