Movies to Not Watch Less Than Twelve Hours Before You Get on a Plane

1) Castaway

2) Flight 93

Both are Featured! Presentations! at the moment.

Just a reminder, assuming the plane and I make it to New York without FedEx mucking it up: The Random House reading is on Tuesday, October 10, at 7 PM at the KGB Bar.

Good luck MB! You'll be awesome!

Now all you need is to go to the theater right now and watch Snakes On A Plane!

My mom was on a plane where the in-flight movie was Passenger 57.

What about the Classics? Like "The High and the Migthty".

I just dropped MB off at the airport. She watched Castaway while she finished packing last night. She's on her way with her new digital camera to capture Manhattan. She's looking forward to seeing those of you who live in the area and will be at the reading.

Last time I was on a plane the choices for one's viewing pleasure included the opening episode of "Lost" and "Flight of the Phoenix." ON THE PLANE! They might as well just run "Alive!" on a 24 hour loop and be done with it!

Thanks for the lovely lift, hunterhousemom! She's a heroine, you guys-- actually got in a car I was driving of her own free will.

This is off topic but have you tried this out yet? It's a web riddle game that requires logic or something...

I'm sorry, but wasn't the movie titled United 93? Sorry, just thought I'd mention it. =/

Eunice, it doesn't matter in this context. Yes, the official name of the movie is "United 93" and the "airline number" format is the callsign air traffic controllers, such as myself, use when talking to airliners, but post-9/11 when someone says "Flight 93" we all know what is meant.

JTP: It matters a little. "Flight 93" was the title of a made-for-TV movie on the A&E Network; United 93 was the theatrical release. Of the two, the latter is far, far superior, as you would expect.

My point is that "United 93" and "Flight 93" are referring to the same event. I was trying to clarify to Eunice, and anyone else confused by the titles, what MB was talking about.

The movie I was referencing was the made-for-TV "Flight 93," and the main point is I didn't watch it. Everybody siddown or I'm turning this plane around.
